Brookhaven Launches “CitySourced”

BROOKHAVEN, GA,March 23, 2015 – Brookhaven now offers “CitySourced,” a smart phone app for citizens to report problems like potholes, code violations or traffic signal outages. The mobile service is available for iPhone, Android, Windows, and Blackberry phones.

The service is a complete cloud solution and provides a single customer portal to connect citizens with appropriate city staff to address public works and code compliance issues. The reporting individual is updated throughout the process on the status of the fix and is notified when the problem has been resolved.

“We wanted to use smart technologies to improve efficiency, communications and engagement for our community,” said Community Development Director Ben Song. “A big bonus with this service is that we can also use it to push out emergency notifications to subscribers when necessary, which we couldn’t do before.”

CitySourced is used by cities and counties across the U.S., including Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Omaha, San Francisco, Honolulu, San Jose, and Longview, Texas.
Locally, Peachtree Corners and Fulton County offer the service.
